Policies & FAQ’s

24 Hour Cancellation Policy

All scheduled appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.  If you cancel after the 24 hour time limit or no-show to your scheduled class, you will lose that session, or if you have a Monthly Membership, your credit card on file will automatically be charged the $20 fee.  It is your responsibility to either cancel the class online, email the studio or text Rachael or Rene, that way we have a time stamp of the cancellation request.  The instructors do not have the ability to take you out of a class.

Valid Credit Card on File

For all Monthly Memberships a valid credit card must be kept on file for both auto renew charges and late cancel fees. If the credit card is declined, you must provide a new credit card within 5 business days to avoid having all future appointments cancelled.

No Holds or Extensions on Monthly Memberships or Packages

There are no holds or extensions on Monthly Memberships.  All Studio Packages expire 6 months from the date of purchase and will not be extended.

All money paid in advance to Studio 5 is non-refundable.

Scheduling Requests

We are happy to schedule 1 or 2 classes for you by phone or in person, but all long term scheduling requests must be made via email so we have a written record of the classes requested.  Please send schedule requests to studio5fitness@outlook.com and we will respond as soon as possible.

Group Class Policy

Group classes consist of 2 or more clients. We reserve the right to cancel a group class if it does not form, however, we will always do our best to accommodate our clients.

How long are all the classes?

All of the classes are 55 minutes in length. This allows for a smooth transition from one class to the next.

Can the classes at your studio replace my workouts at the gym?

Yes, you can create your own well-rounded workout routine without ever having to go to the gym.  What makes our studio unique is the wide variety of class styles we offer.  Our talented instructors can lead you through our strength based classes, cardio based classes and our highly popular and specially designed combo classes, which are a great way to incorporate strength, cardio and stretch all into one hour.

What is the difference between classes at Studio 5 and classes at the gym?

All of our classes are kept small, with a maximum of 6-12 people, which allows for one-on-one attention and instruction and you can pre-register for classes ensuring your spot without having to arrive early. We offer more class times than most gyms and other studios, ranging from early morning to mid-morning and afternoons to evenings, as well as weekends.

How many times a week should I be taking classes?

That really depends on what your personal goals are. Some clients take once a week, whereas others take 5-6 times a week. In the beginning, it is recommended that you give your body a few days rest in between workouts.

Do I need to take Pilates privates before joining groups?

This is a personal choice. As our classes are small, we find that most clients prefer a class setting.  Physical fitness level and body awareness are factors, however it truly depends on how comfortable the client is on the reformer.  We do recommend that if you have a serious injury that may limit you, start with a private so that you can learn the appropriate modifications to be made during a group class.  For private training pricing and availability, please call the studio.

Do I need to be in great shape or familiar with the workout styles to be able to take classes?

No. All of our classes can be customized to whatever your fitness level may be. If you are in great shape and really want to be challenged we can definitely push your body to the limit. On the other hand, if you are newer to exercising or have any physical limitations, we can safely guide you through the workouts, making any necessary modifications.

What are the benefits of the different class styles you offer?

  • Improve strength, flexibility and coordination
  • Tone and build long, lean muscles without bulk
  • Burn calories and lose weight
  • Engage the mind and enhance body awareness
  • Reduce stress, relieve tension, and boost energy through deep stretching
  • Offer relief from back pain and joint stress
  • Enhance mobility, agility and stamina
  • Compliment sports training (including dancers, gymnasts, figure skaters, tennis players, football players, golfers, surfers, etc.)
  • Improve the way your body looks and feels

Can I take all of the classes offered at Studio 5 while pregnant?

Yes. If you have checked with your doctor and been cleared to exercise, all of our classes are safe for pregnant women, as long as modifications are made and safety precautions are taken. Especially when it comes to Pilates, you can work out through your entire pregnancy, which helps to keep both you and the baby healthy and happy.
